International Archaeology Symposium

Each year, this renowned academic event brings together over 600 professionals including archaeologists, conservators, cultural managers, educators, government officials and university students related to the fields of Culture, Tourism, and Education, among others. Its purpose is to share knowledge and encourage reflection on various topics related to the research, conservation, and management of archaeological heritage. Since 2020, the event has been open and free to the public.

Publishing Fund

The Publishing Fund was established in 2020, and by December 2024, seven books had been published under the Foundation’s editorial label. These works focus on the research conducted and the major discoveries made at the archaeological complex. In line with the open collections policy, some of the books include photographic catalogs featuring part of El Brujo’s heritage collection.

Culture and History Content

With the aim of sharing the knowledge generated through daily research at El Brujo, the researchers at the Wiese Foundation continuously develop content aimed at broad audiences. Topics such as the societies of ancient Peru, their economic activities, labor and artisanal traditions, funerary practices, and issues related to cultural heritage management, among others, are available under the Cultural Heritage category in the “Resources for You” section.
