ProInversión has recognized the joint management carried out between the Wiese Foundation and the Ministry of Culture, with the purpose of financing an archaeological investigation and in co-execution between a national entity and a sub-national one, to increase research, conservation and enhancement within the complex, thus contributing to the development of Peru and the strengthening of its diverse and multicultural identity.
Alberto Ñecco, executive director of ProInversión, congratulated the winners for the good public and private management they have achieved over an entire decade. In addition, he stressed that the commitment to efficiency and quality in the execution of public investment deserves to be recognized, all the more so in times when such collaborations are necessary to create development opportunities.
As had already been announced a few weeks ago, the El Brujo Archaeological Complex is the first national project that will benefit from the Works by Taxes modality in the cultural sector. This benefit will help to continue with the excavations within El Brujo to join two sectors with Mochica presence on site. This will allow visitors and tourists to enjoy a better tour of the archaeological site.
The ceremony was held with the presence of State ministers and vice-ministers, local and regional governors, and representatives from private companies, who have been responsible for promoting this mechanism in the last ten years.
