Help continues, Libertad needs us

Much of northern Peru has been hard hit by the rains and landslides that have affected Peruvians, such as the inhabitants of La Libertad. The Wiese Foundation has stood up to carry a message of hope to the affected people.

The Wiese Foundation is present in La Libertad

The Wiese Foundation team began humanitarian aid work in the Chicama Valley, directly attending to the districts of Magdalena de Cao, Casa Grande, Roma, Mocán, Ascope, among others.

After having inspected the entire Valley, the most affected communities were detected, registering them one by one to ensure that donation deliveries reach the hands of the most vulnerable families.

The first actions focused on the communities that were in critical condition, covering their basic needs. Food kits and water were donated to all registered persons.

Through a truck and the logistic support from Casa Grande, 8 tons of food supplies were transported to the most affected areas in the Valley, starting with Mocán, Quinta la Gloria and Pampas de Ventura, after registration.

Help continues and you can be part of it.

The emergency on the northern coast of the country is not over. Join the help and donate food kits to the affected families.

Special thanks:

  • Casa Andina: which, through its marketing department, provided us with the lodging for the Wiese Foundation team during the week of aid work.
  • Casa Grande: which, through its HR manager, Stanley Simons, supported us with the logistics and transportation of 8 tons of food supplies for the affected people.
  • Evangelical Church: we thank FRAPILL (Fraternity of Pastors from La Libertad), its group of volunteers and leader José Rodríguez, for their support with the relief work.
  • Hamlet of Mocán, which, through its mayor Aurea Díaz, supported us with the registration of those affected in order to channel the aid to 120 beneficiaries.
  • The Wiese Foundation Team: thanks to the support and commitment of the collaborators from the El Brujo Archaeological Complex, managed by the Wiese Foundation, who were a key element in such hard work.
