On the evening of November 22, we dressed up to celebrate the 2018 Business Creativity Awards organized by the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas, in which the Wiese Foundation was winner in the categories of “Innovative Communication” and “Entrepreneurship”, for the project “The Face of the Lady of Cao”.
For more than 23 years, the UPC Business Creativity Award honors continuous creativity and innovation through the recognition of innovative products, services, processes and strategies that have achieved a transcendental impact. Under this premise, this year the Wiese Foundation was chosen as the best communication innovation work for “The Face of the Lady of Cao”, which was presented to the world in July 2017.
This great unveiling was considered a milestone in the Foundation’s efforts to preserve, document, investigate and disseminate globally the cultural legacy of our ancestors. “The Face of the Lady of Cao” was a joint work led by the team of archaeologists from the El Brujo Archaeological Complex and an international multidisciplinary team that includes archaeologists, anthropologists, forensic scientists, maxillofacial surgeons and engineers specializing in 3D technology.
The global impact communication strategy for this scientific-archaeological research project was aimed at the generation and preservation of knowledge for society and the promotion of El Brujo as a tourist destination. Through this project, the Wiese Foundation also honors Peruvian women and enhances their role in society.
The Wiese Foundation appreciates the recognition granted by the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas and renews its commitment to continue promoting scientific research and tourism in the El Brujo Archaeological Complex, thus generating development for the communities in its area of influence and pride for all Peruvians.
