The Wiese Foundation activates a new Humanitarian Aid campaign “We are Together for the North”

Continuing to attend to the emergency caused by the floods and landslides resulting from the intense rains that have been hitting the country, and after having directly attended to the victim survivors of the landslide occurred at the beginning of the emergency in the province of Camaná, Arequipa, the aid of the Wiese Foundation moves to the north of the country.

We are aware of the extreme situation that many localities on the north coastline are going through, which have been strongly impacted by the rains. Only 6 years after the last disaster, many families have once again lost their homes, their crops and their economic livelihood.

On the other hand, we have received numerous inquiries and requests from people and institutions that want to have a formal and effective way to be able to arrive with humanitarian aid for those who have been hardest hit and have not yet been attended to. Therefore, we share 2 ways to help:

Moreover, while the authorities fulfill their obligation to implement a definitive solution that puts an end to these tragedies, again, and without hesitation, the Wiese Foundation will allocate its own funds to help bring immediate aid to the inhabitants of the affected localities that have not yet been attended to in the north of the country. We also put ourselves at the service of those who wish to use us as a channel to get their help to those who need us today.

The initial care will consist of rations of hot food and water for human consumption. After that, we shall offer non-perishable food kits. Both the hot food rations and the aforementioned food kits have been designed to provide the caloric content necessary to sustain a family of 4 members for 5 days.

For the implementation of the campaigns, we have the expertise of our strategic allies, ADRA Perú.

During the first weeks of execution of the campaign, we delivered food kits in Secocha (Arequipa) and Chepén (La Libertad). And, continuing with our work plan and attention to the emergency, we announce that the next delivery of humanitarian aid will take place in the Piura region. Stay tuned to our website and social media for more information! At the Wiese Foundation, we reaffirm our work and commitment to attend to the most vulnerable communities in situations of emergency and disasters. In the way that you can and prefer, do not hesitate, help out!
