Global and Local Challenges: Education in a Diverse World
Today, both in Peru and in the world, we are confronted to significant challenges due to high mobility and migratory flows. It is fundamental to form local and global citizens capable of living in the midst of these differences, fostering intercultural competencies that facilitate mutual understanding and exchange, promoting coexistence with greater equity and solidarity.
The Role of the School and the Home in the Construction of Citizenry
The school and the home are presented as privileged venues for the development of citizens who are more respectful of differences, where violence and discrimination can be prevented. In this 6th season of “Educational Dialogs”, we delve deeper into the intercultural approach of the national curriculum, analyzing how it has been designed in public policies. Also, we reflect on Peru’s rich cultural diversity and how this can be a unique opportunity to enrich learning experiences in the classroom.
Throughout each episode, we will explore key topics such as interculturality, coexistence, and developing citizen and intercultural competencies. These elements are essential for the construction of a more equitable and respectful society, where cultural intelligence is developed in our students, preparing them to be global citizens.
The first episode of this exciting season premiered on October 1. Don’t miss this series that invites reflection on how we can live together in the midst of our differences and generate a society with more inclusion and solidarity.
