During the first part of the conference, the lessons learned from the implementation of the first Projects for Taxes project in the cultural sector were shared. Through this, a greater understanding of the previously investigated spaces and contexts has been attained, and new scientific research has been promoted beyond the El Brujo Archaeological Complex.

This first session of the conference included the participation of figures such as José Salazar, representative of Unesco, who highlighted the innovative nature of the project and encouraged the regional governments to invest in a decentralized manner in archaeology.

Furthermore, Carlos Basilio, head of the Executive Unit of Investment 001 at the Ministry of Culture, pointed to the success of the project and the opportunities for improvement in the regulatory framework and that this could lead to the same businesses executing projects being the ones supervising them, and not having to hire eternal businesses, which represents a delay in the process.
